The AllSeasons™ system is a residential aluminium joinery range that has a thermal break built into the design. In essence the thermal break reduces the thermal transference of cold or heat through the frame. This in turn reduces the energy required to heat or cool a home.

AllSeasons™ differs from other thermally broken products available in New Zealand in that it is made using the Pour & Debridge manufacturing method. This method involves the filling of a channel designed into the extrusion with a resin, then the milling out of the back of the channel to create a 5mm break in the aluminium.

This method has a number of differences to the polyamide method (this involves joining 2 extrusions together using a 10mm+ polyamide strip which is crimped to each of the frames) which is the alternative system offered in New Zealand.

The AllSeasons™ system is named AllSeasons™ in order to capture the core benefits which relate to the product’s core features.

In cool climates/winter the product has the advantage of:

  • Reducing cold transferring through from the outside to the inside, making the home more thermally efficient.
  • Reducing internal condensation on joinery.

In warm climates/summer the product has the advantage of:

  • Reducing heat transferring through from the outside to the inside, making the home more thermally efficient and easier to cool.

Crimped Corner Connection System (Patented)

Frames for awning and casement windows and hinged doors are designed to be crimped together in a counter directional way without penetrating the glazing platform. This draws the extrusion together to create tight joints, which with modern sealants significantly reduce the likelihood of leaks.

Sealant is then injected to seal off the frame protecting the liner. The corner connector used in this process also acts as frame support for the mitred joint. It provides controlled drainage paths for condensation, channels errant water at the head and any water picked up through joint failure, safely directing water to the outside of the building envelope.

Corner soakers are now a building code requirement under E2/AS1 Amendment 5 released on 1 August 2011.

The resulting product has:

  • Stronger joints, which withstand transportation and installation.
  • Tighter joints, which are more attractive and of higher consistent quality.
  • Controlled drainage for errant water.

Transom and Mullion Connection System (Patented)

The patented mullion / transom and interlocker connection design removes the need to drill holes through the frame to secure the connection. This eliminates the possibility of frames leaking from this junction point.

The result is:

  • No possibility of connection leaks through the frames. 
  • Stronger, more accurate and higher quality joints.




AllSeasons™ products have a thermal break built into the extrusion. In areas where extrusions reach high temperatures due to direct heat from the sun the extrusion can experience bowing as the outside of the extrusion elongates in the heat at a greater rate than the inside. This can temporarily result in difficulty closing doors. This is normal, door stiles revert back to the normal shape when the metal cools. Selecting light colours for joinery and or increasing shade protection will alleviate this problem when it occurs.
